We’re Just Getting Started
There aren’t many things that are more exciting than starting a new congregation. However, it’s just as challenging as it is exciting. From finding suitable space to getting the news out to people in the community, there is a lot of work to do to start a church. If you’re seeking a challenging and rewarding church experience, there’s nothing like being a part of planting one.Why a New Church?
The Gold Canyon community has seen a lot of growth in the past decade … and there is more coming. We want to make sure that the spiritual needs of all of the people who call Gold Canyon are being met. There are already churches in Gold Canyon that represent various understandings, traditions, and practices of the Christian church. Shepherd of the Canyon Lutheran Church seeks to add an option that is currently lacking in our community. As a conservative, confessional, and liturgical church, we provide a unique expression of the Christian faith that is centered in God’s grace, faithful to God’s Word, and consistent with the historical teachings and practices of the Lutheran church.The Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod
Shepherd of the Canyon Lutheran Church is a member congregation affiliated with the Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod (LCMS). The LCMS is noted for its faithful adherence to the Lutheran confessions in its teachings and practices.
